(alarms blaring in background)

Huck: What’s going on? Where did everyone go? Where’s my class?

Ben: Huck what are you doing here! You’re supposed to be in your class with your teacher?

Intercom: ATTENTION THIS IS NOT A DRILL. THERE IS AN ACTIVE SHOOTER ON CAMPUS. EVERYONE PLEASE FOLLOW LOCKDOWN PROCEDURE.

Ben: We gotta get out of here! Is that room unlocked?

Huck: No. Our teacher took us there to get our art supplies and then they left me.

Ben: Hey it’s going to be okay. We will just figure it out once we get inside.

Huck: I don’t know Ben, I am really scared.

Ben: It’s alright it will be another one of our grand adventures. It’s time for you and I to escape the dungeon, just like we used to pretend.

INTRO

Huck: I don’t get it. How is Charlie sleeping through all of this on the floor? Like it doesn’t even look comfortable.

Ben: Listen, it’s time for us to pretend. You remember when I was the thief and you were the wizard? And we had to sneak past the dragon to get the gold?

Huck: That was Dad sleeping on the couch! And it wasn’t gold, it was cookies!

Ben: Yeah yeah yeah but, remember how quiet we were? The doors outside are through the gym, but in order to get there we have to be real quiet, so we’re gonna tiptoe.

Huck: Well let’s wake up Charlie and take him with us!

Ben: No, we can’t do that, and remember, no matter what you see or hear, you need to stay very quiet.

Huck: I don’t know about this

PARENT ONE: My name is Ryan Hustler.  Archer is… Archer was.. 🙁 my son.  He liked spongebob, and bluey, and hot cheetos, despite the fact they made him cough.  Archer’s mother and I would like to thank the first responders, especially the firefighters, because archer always loved firefighters, and would always want us to talk about them. He even went as one for halloween… This was his helmet… he was so excited!

Huck: Ben, why are all these people on the floor? Is this apart of the adventure?

(Ben sings the back to the future theme, turning huck around and bringing him into the adventure)

Ben: We’re not in the hallway anymore, we’re in the chamber of Azgoth! All of these people have been put into a deep slumber, and if we’re too loud they’re gonna wake up and get us!  So we’re gonna tiptoe…

Huck: Alright, very quietly

Ben: OK follow me

(Dance routine whilst singing indiana jones theme) 

Huck: We did it!

Ben: Quick, over there!…….

Huck: struggles with locked door

Ben: Oh NO! You did so well, think how do we get through here?

Huck: I don’t know!

Ben: Come on Huck!

Huck: Mr. Jones! He always has an extra set of keys! He made me go to his office to get the power after Caleb puked all over the classroom, and I saw them hanging by his desk!

Ben: This is why you’re the best adventurer a brother could ask for

PARENT 2: My son’s name was Henry. Henry James Reid III. Today was his 7th birthday. His mom and I thought about giving him a different name, but we wanted him to feel connected to his grandfather, who he never got to meet. I sure hope they recognize each other.

Ben: (Pushing very heavy door) Alright huck, I got it open enough for you to get through, just go in there and get those keys. And remember, no matter what you see or hear, it’s just a silly monster and you are a brave adventurer.

Huck: That’s right, just have to find those keys (huck rounds the corner of the office) Mr. Jones! What are you doing on the floor? Get up and help me find your keys Mr Jones. Why aren’t you moving!? 

Ben: I can’t hold this door anymore huck!

Huck: Don’t leave me alone with him!

Jones the Bones: My name is Jones the Bones and I will not let you steal the mop of destiny!

Huck: Mr. Jones is here… but he’s different.

Ben: Just don’t look at him, get those keys!

Huck: That’s right, just like medusa, I can’t look at you!

Jones the Bones: Just look at me, Huck. Look how scary I am! 

Huck: I am not and I will not! I just need to find those keys! (Huck feels around on floor and finds keys) Finally!

Jones the Bones: NOOOOOOOO! IT’S YOU NOT ME THATS SUPPOSED TO TURN TO STONE!

Huck: I guess you could say I mopped up in there!

Ben: I don’t even know what that is supposed to mean, but did you get the keys?

Huck: Right here!

PARENT 3: My daughter’s name is lilly.. We found her because she was wearing the princess dress we bought for her at disney world last summer.  Happiest place on earth, right? (holding back sobs) She loved that dress, never took it off.  She was always such a good helper to all of us, especially her little sister, penelope.  We believe in our hearts that’s what she was doing until the very end.

Huck: Alright, this is the finial part of the adventure. We need to cross the rickety bridge to escape this adventure!

Ben: Not now Huck!

Huck: Ben, stop! You going to sway the bridge and make me look…. (Huck looks over the edge of the bridge and is brought back to reality). Ben… these people aren’t sleeping. I can see blood! That’s it, I don’t want to play anymore! (Huck runs away) I am going back to Ms. Tilley’s room.

Ben: No! You can’t go back there! (Turns huck around and leads him upstage) Did Indiana Jones leave the temple of doom early? Did Harry Potter leave Hogwarts before the final battle? I need you here with me.

Huck: Okay… what do we have to do?

Ben: You’re going to take this key, the one that says master on it. And you’re going to go out that door, and once you get outside go right across the street to that shop… where mom buys donuts, and you tell them that you are safe, but there are lots of other kids that aren’t safe

Huck: Wait Ben what about you? (Huck hugs Ben) I am not going without you!

Ben: Everything will be ok, you are such a brave adventurer you can do this (Hugs huck back)

Huck: I don’t know Ben! I am not brave enough to go all alone!

Ben: Reacts to something happening in the School, pushes huck Go Huck, GO! Hey, over here! Over here!

(Huck walks outs door)

PARENT 4: My name is Lawrence. And I have two, beautiful boys. You’ve probably seen Huck on the news, he’s our little adventurer. We are lucky He got out alive. But I want to talk to you all about our oldest boy. His name was Ben. And we are so, so proud of him.
