Voyagers From Lionsgate Teases A Sexy Sci-Fi Space Story
From writer/director Neil Burger(Limitless) comes the year’s best sci-fi movie. Voyagers promises strong emotions in the deep blue.
With the future of the human race at stake, a group of young men and women, bred for intelligence and obedience, embark on an expedition to colonize a distant planet. But when they uncover disturbing secrets about the mission, they defy their training and begin to explore their most primitive natures. As life on the ship descends into chaos, they’re consumed by fear, lust, and the insatiable hunger for power. Written and directed by Neil Burger (Limitless, The Illusionist), Voyagers stars Tye Sheridan (The X-Men franchise), Lily-Rose Depp (The King), Fionn Whitehead (Dunkirk), Chanté Adams (Roxanne, Roxanne), Isaac Hempstead Wright (“Game of Thrones”), Viveik Kalra (Blinded by the Light), Archie Madekwe (Midsommar), Quintessa Swindell (“Trinkets”), Madison Hu (“Bizaardvark”), and Colin Farrell (The Gentlemen).
Repressing people’s emotions is never a good idea. Doing it in space to a bunch of isolated adolescents without their consent is a recipe for disaster. It also makes for great movie watching. The cast is great and the effects are top-notch. For those craving a slick sci-fi film, Voyagers will satisfy that itch. Catch Voyagers in theaters on April 9th.
