Full Moon Features Launches Premium “Full Moon Horror Line” of Collectible Toys

For those who, like me, grew up watching Full Moon movies rented from the local video store, it will come as no surprise that the brand has always been heavily associated with toys. Launching such classic franchises as Puppet Master (which currently boasts more than ten movies and counting) as well as Demonic Toys and many others, Charles Band and Full Moon brought more diminutive toy monsters to life on TV screens than probably anyone else in history.

Over the years, there have been a variety of attempts to translate these diabolical puppets and other devilish playthings to real-life toy shelves, where they seem to belong. From action figure lines in days of old to NECA’s recent Ultimate Puppet Master series, there’s been no shortage of ways for Full Moon fans to own a piece of the company’s vast output of deadly dolls.

Naturally, Full Moon has gotten into the business of distributing these themselves more than once, launching Full Moon Toys back in the ‘90s, with Rick Phares as executive vice president. Now, Phares is back with the company, working together to bring to life a new line of high-quality (and high price point) replicas of some of the brand’s most famous creations, beginning with a 1:1 scale prop replica of Baby Oopsie due out in March. Cast from original prop molds, the replica is fitted out with actual character voice recordings from the film to make a “lifelike” doll that really talks.

Baby Oopsie originally appeared as one of the lead antagonists in Demonic Toys back in 1992 and the fan favorite character has since shown up in their own series of features, beginning in 2021. The new figure comes with a “birth certificate” signed by both Charles Band and Baby Oopsie director William Butler and retails for $299.95.

Perhaps more exciting for hardcore Full Moon fans, though, this is just the first in a new line of full-size prop replica figures, dubbed the Full Moon Horror Line. With a premium price point, these new dolls promise to be crafted with the same attention to detail, so it’s just a matter of seeing what the line rolls out next…
