Initial Reactions to The Beach House
The weird anti drug message seems a bit out of place.
It was great to see Jake Weber. The Dawn of the Dead remake is really fun and I have a soft spot for early seasons of Medium.
Some rad body horror. YIKES!

Really dig the first look at the plants from the ocean. Sargossa from another planet if you will.
For real though we go to the beach a lot and Sargossa is becoming a big issue mostly do to global warming, It feels a little alien when surrounded by it.

The Question of Global Warming according to the Weird
“Is a question of misrecognition not a question of repression. Its a transition we are not prepared for. A transition that is not human focused. The lack of human focus is REALLY interesting. Like its evolution and we are being left behind.”
Amazon One Star Review
EVERYONE CRAWLS. ALL THE TIME.
Bland bland bland. The movie opens with the usual mounting tension. We are introduced to the main character who is easily the most knowledgeable person in the show. Yet as the threat shows itself, she seems unable to provide any insights into how this functions, what to do about it, or how to avoid becoming a victim. Instead we are treated to the usual formula of watching the characters fall away one by one. The threat assumes so many formats that one is left wondering if they left anything out. As if the writers had a checklist of “what form the threat could take” and deciding to just go with the whole list. There is simply no theme, as they try to keep the phenomena as indeterminate as possible. However, instead of creating fear, it just looks like it was written for an intoxicated audience. To top it off, the characters are weak, insipid and uninspiring. They are not relatable and just seem like bumbling idiots. The only good thing about the ending was that the movie was over.
That will do it for the end of the show.
